Galium oreganum Britton
Habit: Perennial herb, erect, 20--30 cm, glabrous except leaf margin, veins. Leaf: in whorls of 4, 20--40 mm, widely ovate to elliptic, 3-veined. Inflorescence: clusters, terminal on distal branches, flowers few. Flower: bisexual; corolla rotate, +- yellow to +- green, glabrous. Fruit: nutlets, hairs long, hooked.
Ecology: Open conifer forest; Elevation: 1500 m. Bioregional Distribution: KR (Del Norte Co.); Distribution Outside California: to Washington. Flowering Time: Jun--Aug
