Galium mollugo L.
Habit: Perennial herb, erect, 3--12 dm, glabrous to hairy. Stem: stout, +- swollen at nodes. Leaf: generally whorls of 8, oblanceolate to obovate, tip abruptly soft-pointed. Inflorescence: panicle, many-flowered. Flower: bisexual; corolla rotate, white; stamens exserted. Fruit: nutlets few, small; hairs 0. Chromosomes: 2n=22,44.
Ecology: Disturbed areas; Elevation: generally < 1000 m. Bioregional Distribution: KR, NCoRO, SnFrB; Distribution Outside California: native to Europe. Flowering Time: Jun--Jul
