Galium grayanum Ehrend.
Habit: Perennial herb 2.5--27 cm, tufted or matted, densely hairy; dioecious. Leaf: in whorls of 4, 4--17 mm, widely ovate to round, tip obtuse to acuminate, not sharp to touch. Inflorescence: narrow, leafy, flowers few on ascending branchlets. Flower: corolla rotate, +- cupped at base, +- yellow to +- red, puberulent to glabrous. Fruit: nutlets; hairs long, straight, +- brown. Chromosomes: 2n=22.
