Galium glabrescens (Ehrend.) Dempster & Ehrend.
Habit: Perennial herb, ascending, 5--31 cm, generally green, +- glabrous to puberulent, base +- woody; dioecious. Leaf: in whorls of 4, ovate to obovate. Inflorescence: narrow, leafy, flowers few on short, axillary branchlets, little-exserted from leaves. Flower: corolla generally rotate (shallowly bell-shaped), +- yellow to +- red. Fruit: nutlets; hairs long, straight, spreading.
