Fritillaria agrestis Greene
Habit: Large bulb scales 2--9, small 0--2. Stem: 3--6 dm. Leaf: 5--12, alternate, crowded below mid stem, 5--15 cm, linear to lance-oblong. Flower: nodding, ill-scented; perianth parts 1.8--3.5 cm, ovate, green-white or yellow abaxially, purple-brown adaxially, nectary prominent, 2/3 perianth, narrowly linear, green; style divided 1/2. Fruit: +- angled. Chromosomes: 2n=24.
Ecology: Clay, often vertic, occasionally serpentine; Elevation: < 500 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCoRO (Mendocino Co.), SNF, GV, CW. Flowering Time: Mar--Jun
