Eschscholzia parishii Greene
Habit: Annual, erect, 5--30 cm, glabrous, bright- to yellow-green, occasionally glaucous. Leaf: segments not widened to tip, tip acute, +- notched or not. Flower: bud nodding, long-pointed, glabrous, occasionally glaucous; receptacle obconic; petals 8--30 mm, yellow. Fruit: 5--7 cm. Seed: 1--1.4 mm wide, generally round, net-ridged, tan to brown. Chromosomes: 2n=12.
Ecology: Desert slopes, hillsides; Elevation: < 1300 m. Bioregional Distribution: s DMoj, DSon; Distribution Outside California: northwestern Mexico. Flowering Time: Mar--Apr
