Erythronium multiscapideum (Kellogg) A. Nelson & P.B. Kenn.
Habit: Bulb 20--50 mm, ovoid, making bulblets from long, slender rhizomes. Leaf: 4--15 cm, +- elliptic, entire to wavy-margined, mottled brown or white. Inflorescence: peduncle 8--20 cm, +- branched just above leaves; flowers 1--4. Flower: perianth parts 16--35 mm, widely lanceolate to elliptic, +- white with yellow base; stamens 10--15 mm, filaments slender, white, anthers white to cream; style 10--13 mm, white, stigma lobes 1--4 mm, recurved.
Ecology: Open woodland, shrubby slopes; Elevation: 50--1200 m. Bioregional Distribution: KR, CaR, n&c SNF, n SNH. Flowering Time: Mar--May Note: Occasionally intergrades with Erythronium californicum.
Synonyms: Erythronium multiscapoideum, orth. var.
