Erythronium hendersonii S. Watson
Habit: Bulb 40--55 mm, slender. Leaf: 10--25 cm, oblong to ovate, entire to +- wavy-margined, mottled brown or white. Inflorescence: peduncle 12--30 cm, +- red to +- purple; flowers 1--4. Flower: perianth parts 18--35 mm, widely lanceolate, violet to pink (darker toward tip) with dark purple zone at base, inner with small sac-like folds at base; stamens 10--14 mm, filaments slender, purple, anthers pale brown to purple; style 6--8 mm, violet, stigma entire or lobes < 1 mm.
Ecology: Dry woodland, openings; Elevation: 300--1600 m. Bioregional Distribution: KR; Distribution Outside California: southwestern Oregon. Flowering Time: Apr--Jul
