Erysimum concinnum Eastw.
Habit: Biennial or short-lived perennial herb. Stem: 0.4--5(7) dm. Leaf: 0.4--2 cm wide, spoon-shaped to oblanceolate, flat, coarsely dentate, hairs 2- or 3(7)-rayed. Flower: sepals 8--19 mm; petals 15--32 mm, 6--16 mm wide, cream to yellow, claw 8--12 mm. Fruit: (3)5--13 cm, 2.2--5 mm wide, cylindric in youth, flat parallel to septum, not constricted between seeds; valves outside with 2--5-rayed hairs, inside glabrous, midvein obscure; style 0.5--2.5 mm; pedicel ascending, 2--4(6) mm. Seed: 42--68, widely ovate to +- round; wing continuous. Chromosomes: 2n=36.
Ecology: Cliffs, coastal bluffs, dunes, prairies; Elevation: < 400 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCo, n CCo (Point Reyes); Distribution Outside California: southwestern Oregon. Flowering Time: Mar--Jun Note: Hybridizes with Erysimum menziesii at Fort Bragg, Mendocino Co.
