Eriodictyon tomentosum Benth.
Habit: Shrub. Stem: 1--3 m; twigs dense-white-tomentose. Leaf: petiole 5--12 mm; blade 3--10 cm, 1--5 cm wide, oblanceolate to oblong, entire to coarse-toothed, dense-white-tomentose. Flower: calyx lobes 2.5--4 mm, dense-long-hairy, stalked glands fewer than hairs; corolla 3--5 mm, urn-shaped, +- constricted at throat, white to lavender, abaxially sparse-hairy, glandular, tube exceeding calyx by < 2 mm; filaments glabrous; ovary glabrous, style 1--2 mm. Seed: 10--12. Chromosomes: n=14.
Ecology: Slopes, ridges, ravines, disturbed areas, grassland, chaparral; Elevation: 150--1400 m. Bioregional Distribution: SCoR. Flowering Time: May--Jul
