Draba novolympica Payson & H. St. John
Habit: Perennial herb, tufted, cushion-forming, scapose. Stem: unbranched, 0.5--3.5 cm, hairs dense, simple and stalked, 2--5-rayed. Leaf: basal 2--8 mm, oblong to linear-oblanceolate, ciliate, entire, abaxial hairs dense, stalked, 2--12-rayed, adaxial hairs simple, some 2-rayed; cauline leaves 0. Inflorescence: 2--12-flowered, generally elongated in fruit; axis as hairy as stem; pedicels 1--5 mm, hairy. Flower: sepals 1.5--2.5 mm; petals 2--4 mm, 1.5--2 mm wide, yellow. Fruit: (2.5)3--4(5) mm, 1.5--3.5 mm wide, ovoid, +- inflated at base, not twisted, densely with 2--6-rayed hairs; style 0.2--0.6(0.8) mm. Seed: 4--8(12), 1.2--1.8 mm, oblong. Chromosomes: 2n=42.
Ecology: Uncommon. Open, rocky slopes, talus, scree; Elevation: 1500--3700 m. Bioregional Distribution: n SNH; Distribution Outside California: western Canada, northwestern United States. Flowering Time: Jun--Aug
