Unabridged Synonyms: Coleosanthus nevinii (A. Gray) A. Heller
Unabridged Note: Brickellia nevinii appears to be a gray-hairy form of Brickellia microphylla. The variability in hairiness often makes distinguishing these species problematic, particularly in areas of San Bernardino and Inyo cos. Brickellia nevinii, perhaps, should be recognized as a variety of Brickellia microphylla. It is reported to intergrade with Brickellia californica in mixed populations of the coast range. Work on this sp. is on-going.
