Camissonia pusilla P.H. Raven
Habit: Slender; hairs glandular, generally also spreading. Stem: erect, 2--22 cm. Leaf: 10--30 mm, linear, minutely serrate. Flower: hypanthium 0.8--1.6 mm; sepals 1.2--2 mm, free; petals 1.8--3.1 mm, yellow fading +- red, basal spots 2. Fruit: 18--32 mm, 0.6--0.9 mm wide, +- swollen by seeds, straight or wavy; pedicel +- 0--2 mm. Seed: 0.7--0.8 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=14.
Ecology: Sandy soils, generally sagebrush scrub; Elevation: 760--3000 m. Bioregional Distribution: n slope SnBr (Cactus Flats), GB, DMoj (scattered); Distribution Outside California: to Washington, Idaho, Utah. Flowering Time: May--Jun Note: Self-pollinated. Related to Camissonia kernensis, Camissonia parvula, Camissonia pubens.
