Camissonia lacustris P.H. Raven
Habit: Slender; hairs +- dense, spreading, glandular in inflorescence. Stem: decumbent or erect, < 50 cm, wiry, peeling. Leaf: 8--35 mm, linear to narrowly elliptic, minutely serrate. Flower: hypanthium 1.7--2.7 mm; sepals (3)3.8--5.5 mm, remaining adherent in pairs; petals (4)4.5--7 mm, yellow fading +- red, basal spots 0 or 2. Fruit: < 45 mm, 0.8--1.3 mm wide, +- swollen by seeds, straight or wavy, +- sessile. Seed: 0.6--0.8 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=28.
Ecology: Open grassland; Elevation: on serpentine, 400--600 m; not on serpentine, 200--1600 m. Bioregional Distribution: s NCoRI (c Lake Co.), SNF. Flowering Time: Apr--Jun Note: Self-pollinated. Probably derived from Camissonia strigulosa.
