Calochortus greenei S. Watson
Stem: 10--40 cm, generally branched. Leaf: basal +- 20 cm, persistent; cauline 1--2, reduced upward. Inflorescence: flowers 1--5, erect; bracts 2--4, 2--4 cm, lance-linear. Flower: perianth bell-shaped; sepals 25--30 mm, ovate, acuminate, +- green tinged with lilac, yellow hairy, purple spot at base; petals 30--40 mm, widely obovate, +- purple with darker crescent abaxially above nectary, yellow below, not ciliate, +- hairy, nectary deeply depressed, bordered below by wide ciliate membranes, above by short hairs; filaments 10--14 mm, anthers 8--12 mm, narrowly oblong, white to lilac. Fruit: erect, 20--25 cm, elliptic, winged. Seed: irregular.
Ecology: Shrubby hillsides, open woodland; Elevation: +- 700--1100 m. Bioregional Distribution: e KR, nw CaR, w MP; Distribution Outside California: southern Oregon. Flowering Time: Jun--Jul
