Callitriche marginata Torr.
Leaf: oblong to spoon-shaped, 4.8--7.1(7.2) mm, 0.7--1.4 mm wide. Inflorescence: bracts 0; flowers 1--2 pistillate and 1 staminate in each axil. Fruit: 0.7--1 mm, 1.1--1.4 mm wide, length < width, black when mature; wing 0.03--0.2 mm, slightly wider at base than at tip.
Ecology: Becoming stranded (often in vernal pools); Elevation: < +- 1500 m. Bioregional Distribution: CA-FP; Distribution Outside California: to British Columbia, Baja California. Flowering Time: Mar--Jun
