Callitriche fassettii Schotsman
Habit: Plant scattered or forming dense stands, floating rosettes 0. Leaf: submersed, +- linear or tapering from near base. Inflorescence: bracts 0; flowers 1 or 1 staminate and 1 pistillate in 1 of a pair of axils. Fruit: peduncle < 2 mm; 1.5--1.8(2.5) mm, 1.1--1.5(1.8) mm wide, broadly winged.
Ecology: Submerged in streams, ponds; Elevation: < 2100 m. Bioregional Distribution: NCoRI, CaRF, c SN, GV, SnFrB, SnBr, MP (exc Wrn), expected elsewhere; Distribution Outside California: Oregon, Ontario, Nebraska. Flowering Time: Apr--Jul
