Bacopa rotundifolia (Michx.) Wettst.
Leaf: 12--36 mm, +- round; veins > 6, palmate. Inflorescence: pedicel 5--18 mm, generally < leaf, stout; bractlets 0. Flower: outer sepals 3.1--5.3 mm, ovate to +- round; corolla 5--8 mm, white with yellow in tube/throat; anthers 0.6--1.3 mm, little, if at all, exserted. Chromosomes: 2n=56.
Ecology: Muddy places, in wet soil or rooted and floating in shallow water; Elevation: < 100 m (< 1100 m in MP). Bioregional Distribution: GV, MP (Fall River Valley, Shasta Co.); Distribution Outside California: to Idaho, eastern United States, Arizona, Mexico; native to central United States. Flowering Time: May--Aug Note: In California often associated with rice cultivated.
