Amsinckia spectabilis Fisch. & C.A. Mey.
Leaf: +- succulent, fine-toothed. Flower: calyx lobes 5, +- equal in width, not fused above base, or unequal in width, 2--3 +- 1/2 fused, with dark cilia; corolla 7--19 mm, limb 5--14 mm diam, yellow, tube 10-veined near base. Fruit: 1--2 mm, +- black, sharp-tubercled or obscure, occasionally ridged.
Note: Varieties intergrade in southern CCo (near Morro Bay).
