Alyssum alyssoides (L.) L.
Habit: Hairs generally stellate, appressed, some spreading and simple. Stem: decumbent to erect, 0.5--3.5(5) dm. Flower: sepals persistent; petals 2--3(4) mm, linear to narrowly oblanceolate, cream, in age +- white; filaments slender, not winged. Fruit: (2)3--4(5) mm, round, bulged over seed, hairy; style 0.3--0.6(1) mm, glabrous to hairy at base; pedicel spreading to ascending, 2--6 mm. Seed: 1--2 mm, oblong to ovate; wing to 0.1 mm. Chromosomes: 2n=32.
Ecology: Disturbed areas, flats, ledges, bluffs; Elevation: < 1800 m. Bioregional Distribution: e KR, n SNH; Distribution Outside California: native to Europe, southwestern Asia, northern Africa. Flowering Time: May--Jul
