Allium lemmonii S. Watson
Habit: Bulb 15--22 mm, ovoid; outer coat sculpture +- obvious, cells narrowly rectangular, transversely elongate, +- in vertical rows. Stem: 15--20 cm, flat, narrowly winged. Leaf: 2, +- = stem, flat, sickle-shaped. Inflorescence: flowers 10--40; pedicels 8--16 mm. Flower: 6--9 mm; perianth parts narrowly ovate, entire, white to pink; ovary crests 6, obscure, ridge-like. Chromosomes: n=7.
Ecology: Common. Drying clay soils; Elevation: 1200--1900 m. Bioregional Distribution: n&c SNH, MP; Distribution Outside California: to Oregon, Idaho, Nevada. Flowering Time: May--Jun
