Allium hyalinum Curran
Habit: Bulb 5--12 mm, ovoid to +- spheric, generally clustered; outer coat cells transversely elongate, in obscure, wavy, herringbone pattern; inner coats light yellow. Stem: 15--45 cm. Leaf: 2--3, 0.7--1.5 × stem, widely channeled to cylindric, not keeled. Inflorescence: flowers generally 5--25; pedicels 10--35 mm. Flower: 6--10 mm; perianth parts spreading, white or pale pink, in fruit translucent, folded over ovary; ovary crest 0. Chromosomes: n=7.
Ecology: Common. Grassy slopes, outcrops; Elevation: 50--1500 m. Bioregional Distribution: SNF, GV, SnFrB. Flowering Time: Mar--May
