Allium falcifolium Hook. & Arn.
Habit: Bulb 15--25 mm, ovoid; outer coat brown to red-brown, sculpture 0 or cells +- square, in 2--3 rows basally; inner coats white or pink. Stem: 5--20 cm, flat, winged. Leaf: 2, 1.5--3 × stem, flat, sickle-shaped. Inflorescence: flowers 10--30; pedicels 8--15 mm. Flower: 9--15 mm; perianth parts lanceolate, rose-purple or dingy white, long-acuminate, at least inner generally dentate with minute glands; ovary crests 3, low, wide. Chromosomes: n=7.
Ecology: Common. Heavy clays including serpentine; Elevation: 100--2100 m. Bioregional Distribution: NW, SnFrB; Distribution Outside California: southwestern Oregon. Flowering Time: Apr--Jun
