Allium bolanderi S. Watson
Habit: Bulb 7--20 mm oblique-ovoid to -oblong, +- 0 at flower; outer coat sculpture obscure, cells transversely elongate, in herringbone pattern; rhizomes 1--2, obscure, < 2 cm including new bulbs at tips. Stem: 10--35 cm. Leaf: 2--3, +- = stem, +- cylindric. Inflorescence: flowers 10--20; pedicels 10--20 mm. Flower: perianth parts erect with spreading tips, +- lanceolate, serrate distally, tip obtuse to acute, appearing narrower by inrolled margins, +- entire, red-purple (white); ovary crests 3, minute, 2-lobed, central.
