Allium atrorubens S. Watson
Habit: Bulb 10--16 mm, ovoid to +- spheric; outer coat brown, sculpture 0 or cells +- square, in 2--3 rows basally; inner coats pink to white. Stem: 5--17 cm. Leaf: 1, < 2 × stem, cylindric, tip tightly coiled (often breaking off in age or when pressed). Inflorescence: flowers 5--50; pedicels 6--20 mm, > flowers. Flower: 8--12 mm; perianth parts lanceolate to ovate, entire, red-purple or pink (white); ovary crests 6, obvious, triangular, tip entire or notched.
