Specimen MAnagement for California Herbaria
The SMASCH project, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), has
completed the development of a database of text data and images of specimens
that document the distribution and classification of the plants of California.
The project ran from 1992 until 2000. Information from over 358,000 specimens has been
