6_4 I came across a bush of Solanum umbelliferum in Strawberry Canon which presented a most curious sight. It had perhaps 20 upright or ascending stems or branches - and they were all utterly leafless, destitute absolutely of flowers and fruits. The stems were green or greenish. How very much this plant suggested a normally leafless desert shrub! |
