extending its area somewhat or perhaps recovering territory once occupied. In the open pasture on the east side of the county road (at the summit) seedling trees are taking the ground very freely.

No. 1178 l.c. p. 16 ante. These bulbets are very solid; doubtless the stems die or decay and the bulbets fall to the ground to be carried along to new ground by winter rains.
