Ulatis School The school ground was a grand place. A boy was as free as the air, as unrestrained as a blue jay. There were no home duties, no chores, no work. It was Elysium, the play field of the Republic.

Winter at Little Oak -Sierra Nevada- a traveler might not know they were there, so much do they look like clouds on the far horizon. Trees in winter: Buckeyes change; Cottonwoods have another character; the oaks show well their architecture.
