Went today, Monday, March 31, to Little Oak Ranch from Berkeley. The country beautifully green but the spring too far advanced for the season _ too little rain, too much warmth. I noticed at once that both creeks are dry. There were only slight puddles in the Alamo at Dickie place. Lee Gates, speaking of the Alamo in Gates Canyon says that never before has there been a winter in which the Alamo failed to run.
