See letter of Mrs. G. P. Ballard, May 25, 1931, in Jepson Corr. vol. 35. The full story of the original discovery by Mrs. Summers is in a previous letter by Mrs. Ballard. -Lemmon, Sara Allen Plummer. Died Jan. 15, 1923 in Stockton State Hospital. She was admitted to the hospital on Apr. 22, 1916. See letter from Mabel R. Gillis, State Librarian, dated Jan. 16, 1935. -Orcutt, C. R.
