60_379 Fresno Co., Oct. 9, 1940. to bottom in as many folders, labeled "a", "b," "c", "d." No. 20,236. Cordylanthus rigidus (Bth.) Jepson. With 20,235. --I stop under a Quercus lobata tree, on a little bench, half-way up the canon [canyon] for a mid-day lunch. I have forded the stream nearly twenty times to this point. Going up to the divide (headwaters of branch of San Benito River) I ford it 15 times more. I keep no count; but one is really moving up the stream bed and leaving it for only short distances on a hillslope or bench and then back to the canon [canyon] bed again. |
