Berkeley, Nov. 1930. - Cont. no. 15,348. Ranunculus lobbii Pool in the salt marshes near Cordelia. Collected on one of my trips to Vaca Valley in 1930, perhaps April, more likely March. Cont. from v. 50, p.38.
-Mr. A.E. Wieslander says:_ Quercus semota forms a distinct band in the Tehachapis; its yellowing foliage made a marked impression me when there recently on reconnaissance. Cupressus goveniana forms a marked colony in the Santa Lucias n. of San Luis Obispo not far west of Cuesta Pass. Arctostaphylos pungens occurs in the Santa Lucias. It is a very marked species in S. Cal. and we recognize it readily in the field. Cupressus sargentii occurs in the Santa Lucias not far from Cupressus goveniana. Our men recognize the two as distinct things.
