D. F. Higgins camee in from Ramallah, where he has been surveying Tell-en-Nasbeh for W. F. Bade, and I went out to Ramallah from Jerusalem with him and stayed all night at the Friends Boy's School, where Mr. and Mrs. Jones are charming hosts and I enjoyed the stop there very much. A young Arab woman, a teacher in the school, donned a bride's cos-
tume, the distinctive embroid-
