[meadow] flat, not swamp, Dorrington. No. 10,178. Achillea borealis ssp. californica With 10,177. No. 10,179. Castilleia miniata Dougl. Calyx slightly more deeply cleft before than behind, the divisions of the lobes spreading laterally in pairs, subulate-lanceolate (very long and slender, a little longer than the tube. Lip deep green, the teeth long and slender, acuminate, incurved-ascending or incurved-horizontal, the middle tooth inflexed, that is closely refelxed but inside not outside! Cont. p. 94. Growing in fine masses in Azalea thicket, border of Frenchman Mdw. Bracts and fls. rose-pink - a very lovely shade of it. |
