Mt. St. Helena, Apr. 29, 1924. No. 10,389. Trifolium microcephalum Ph. Mt. St. Helena at Toll House. Wooded bank - Tragopogon porrifolius. Common near Oak Knoll, Napa Val. [Valley] [ Quercus agrifolia Nee. Three trees cut down today on the margin of the old-time U.C. running track to make room for the new Life Science Building: one was about 143 years old, another 106, the third so hollow that an age count is impracticable. The cut surface is not favorable for a count, in the case of either of the trees counted, and the figures above are somewhat too high, rather than too low, it is most likely. - W.L.J., Oct, 30, 1928.] No. 10,389a. Malva borealis Wallm. Berkeley, May 6, 1924 = M. nicaeensis All. Botanical Collecting. [Technique of] Horse Packing, by C. J. Post (Outing Pub. Co. 1914. N. Y.)
