April 27, 1924. [flowers] owers a remarkable sky or bright blue of a very pure color. Toll House. No. 10,373. Arctostaphylos stanfordiana Parry. Berries singularly unsymmetrical! usually depressed, but also produced upwards. They have a ruddy color on one side, at this stage, which I have never noticed on any other species. The berries are now bright green like a quite green apple, the ruddy color, which is red-brown, flushing one side. Mt. St. Helena, at Toll House Lake Co. No. 10,374. Epilobium minutum Lindl.
