40_128 San Joaquin City, San Joaquin River San Joaquin Co. No. 10,284. Glinus lotoides Loef. Ovary 3-lobed, the 3 stamens lying in the grooves of the lobes, ie. between the lobes, the anthers approximate around the stigmas. Sepals 5, tomentulose. Capsule loculicidal, the 3 valves separating from the central placenta. Stigmas 3, radiate over the lobes. I find fls. with 5 stamens also. Perhaps the stamens are normally 5. [sketch] Stamen. pistil. Stamens hypogynous! |

The stigma is about on level with lowest anthers Cpr. lobes subequal; not as unequal as indicated or scarcely. No. 10,286. Amaranthus Leaves white-veined beneath; bracts scarious-margined. Prostrate. River bottoms. No. 10287. Eryngium Stems procumbent or prostrate, divergent from the central stem. River bottoms. |
