Astragalus
Peduncles 1 1/2 to 2 in. long. Flowers 4 or 5 lines long. Banner and wings white, except the purple base. Perhaps better: corolla purple at base, the banner and wings mostly white, or purplish tinged or veined. Keel purple, little more than 1/2 as long as the wings. Leaflets 9 to 15. [Alkali] - no specimens taken.

Lepidium
Upper leaves ciliate towards base; all linear (narrowly).

Allium - no. 522. A. serratum Wats.
Bracts 2 or 3; inner perianth segments 1/2 as wide as outer; each ovary cell with 2 crests or lobes on back.

Layia platyglossa
Tidy-Tip. Rays white tipped. Leaves 5 in. long or less, narrow, (2 to 4 lines wide), above somewhat saliently lobed or gash-toothed.
Bracts of the involucre enclosing the achene by infolding, the margin of the slightly enlarged base of the bract bristly or scabrous-hispid.

Flower 1 in. long, yellowish white. Purple spot on each side of keel at apex.
