Distribution of the Redwood.
Runs down on both roads into Pope Valley; one road half-way down, the other road quite to the edge of the valley but not on valley level. Southward along the range it does not go beyond the Dado Ranch or Morris ranch. The redwoods are mostly on the eastern slope of the range according to Lawrence Angwin, and have been cut almost entirely. Those one sees from the road are saplings from old stumps. In inaccessible canyons there are still a few redwoods 3, 4, and possibly 5 ft. in diameter.
