Stone Lagoon.
-Potamogeton natans covered about 300 acres of Freshwater Lagoon with its bronze-colored leaves.
-Lysichiton Kamstchatcense common along the coast: at Big Lagoon, Stone Lagoon

-Nurseries of young seedlings on fallen Redwood trunks: Picea sitchensis, Tsuga mertensiana, Acer vitifolius, Vaccinium [species left blank].
It is noticeable that Ericaceous species tend to humus
as well as the Monotropaceous species which are pure saprophytes.
-At Stone Lagoon we botanized on the beach of the lagoon and its low seepage flats. Nos. 9326 to 9337 were collected on the flats and beach.

-When we reached the Klamath River we found the ferry not running by reason of its gasoline engine being out of order. That night we passed on the south shore.
