Rather freely flowering on the Pipe-line Trail just above Mill Valley. ----- - Went to Boye's Sta., Sonoma Valley to look up my marked Eschscholzia. See p. 2 of vol. 30. But all my work was for naught. The side of the track had been burned by the railroad co. and plowed a little. Took a walk into the hills east side of the valley. No. 6190. Centaurea solstitialis L. Abundant in the hay fields. No. 6191. Nicotiana attenuata Torr. In stream bed & near it along r.r. track, 3 to 4 ft. h. (See p. 7) No. 6192.
