Stems spreading, ascending. No. 6552a. Grass [Muhlenbergia richardsonis (Trin.) Rydb.] Forming a close turf in mdw. No. 6553. Gayophytum ramosissimum T. & G. Flowers white. No. 6554. Garrya fremontii Torr. 3 1/2 ft. h. (Alpine Co.). No. 6555. Mimulus guttatus DC. Det. A.L.G. [Tillingii Regel] I do not see any difference |
31_161 26 July 1915 ---------- between this corolla in cut or aspect and the corolla of the large-flowered Coast Range M. luteus or langsdorfii var. grandis as I call it. I believe, however, there are no leaves corresponding to the characteristic lower leaves of M. langsdorfii var. This no. 6555 grows on open gravelly slopes over which numerous mountain rivulets are trickling. No. 6556. Chenopodium Forming small prostrate mats on the sandy area in an open mdw. No. 6557. Potentilla glandulosa Lindl. var. lactea Greene. Petals a dull white, round. Stamens 20 or 21 No. 6558 Grass. [Muhlenbergia filiformis Rydb.] With 6552. No. 6559. Euphorbia serpyllifolia Pers. with 6556. |
