between this corolla in cut or aspect and the corolla of the large-flowered Coast Range M. luteus or langsdorfii var. grandis as I call it. I believe, however, there are no leaves corresponding to the characteristic lower leaves of M. langsdorfii var. This no. 6555 grows on open gravelly slopes over which numerous mountain rivulets are trickling.
