Petals 5, rhomboidal! Stamens 10.
No. 6478. Veronica serpyllifolia L. Lower petal white, small, about 1/5 size, i.e. area, of lateral petals which are in turn somewhat smaller than upper petal. All the petals except the lower with bluish longitudinal lines. Stamens 2, clavate-dilated on upper half, the basal portion very slender, style dilated upwards also; stigma circular or nearly so. -- Moist marshy flat beneath Populus tremuloides.
No. 6479. Mimulus Tilingi Regel var. corallinus (Greene) Grant. Det. A.L.G. Corolla scarcely distinguishable from Mimulus langsdorfii corolla. Foliage very distinct. Stems very slender! Palate with short stiffish hairs.

No. 6480. Mimulus breweri (Greene) Coville. Det. A.L.G. Lobes subequal, hardly any limb to the pink-reddish corolla

No. 6481. Mimulus Corolla with wide-spreading almost regular limb. Upper lobes entire, lower lobes all deeply notched. Palate with velvety-brown dots. Corolla lemon-yellow.

No. 6482. Pedicularis Galea blunt scarcely larger than the 3-lobed non-saccate lower lip. Lower pair stamens woolly above, upper pair glabrous. Stigma annular-capitate. Corolla yellowish -- Floor of pine forest.
