Stems trailing or sometimes ascending. Fls. fading red, or drying immediately. No. 6139. Tetradymia axillaris A. Nels. Comp. bush. 2 to 2 1/2 ft.h. Each stem throwing out long thorny or spiny branches like proliferous shoots , and in abundance.

Well-developed and often forming low round mound-like plants 8 to 12 in diameter and 1/3 to 1/2 as high. No. 6145. Lepidium fremontii Wats. Abundantly in bloom and fruit this year, the plants 14 to 22 inches high.
