As a printer's boy the sheets of Hugh Millers Testimony of the Rocks passed thorough his hand and a friendship developed as Murray grew to a man between him and Miller. Murray's father and grandfather were lawyers, the grandfather being Lord __ __, a legal or judicial title, and not hereditary.
