Parthenogenesis

In Alchemilla (Bot. Gaz. 38:309)
Hybrid between common orange (Citrus sinensis) and Poncirus trifoliata give sterile seeds with false embryos derived from the uncellar tissue of the mother plant, i.e. they originate parthenogenetically and when grown carry on a pure strain of the female plant.-Swingle, Journ. Wash. Acad. Sci. 7:87.
