S.B. Parish. He settled at San Bernardino in 1872. As said on p. 122 ante, he collected for Dr. C.S. Sargent. He has, very probably, the unique distinction of being the only man who never had trouble with Sargent in regard to the expenses of an expedition. -cf. "Botanists of Cal. & W. Am.
