No. 5511. Elymus triticoides Buckl. A possible pest in the alfalfa at the Waterman Ranch. Makes a close dense spot. [I find no ref. to it in literature. Sometimes spoken of as a poor fodder in the S.W. Unless found to spread best regarded as a nuisance but not a menace.]
No. 5512. Populus fremontii Wats.
No. 5513. Dalea [Psorothamnus] arborescens Torr. [var. arborescens (Det. R.C. Barneby, 1967)] Torr. & Frem. D. neglecta Parish. Many stemmed shrub 3 ft. high, not differing in habit from D. saundersii. Wood brittle in same way. One shrub only. Mohave River bed, a little west of Barstow (2 miles say).
No. 5514. Stanleya pinnata Showy variation in leaves. Mohave River bottom on the south bank.
