Eriogonum thomasii Outer calyx segments ovate, a little linear-saccate on each side at base, the inner segments linear but roundish dilated below, i.e. at base; after anthesis the outer segments become conspicuously saccate-dilated. ---------- [I am preparing short biog. sketches of Lemmon, Hansen, Anderson, etc. Parish suggested that I call the paper "Californian Sub-Worthies"!!
